Our most significant achievement is to persuade Mr.CVSK Sarma, Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to appoint a new Addl. Commissioner for Veterinary Mr. M. Venkateswaralu. He is a most kind hearted person to animals and specially to dogs. He stopped the killings of stray dogs immediately and advocated for their sterilization and putting back to the place where they belong. He readily agreed to send a team to Visakhapatnam to study the achievements of Visakhapatnam Municipality & Visakhapatnam SPCA made as a team. Specially the improved CNVR Sterilisation Programme will be studied.
He has very kindly agreed to extend all help to us and to get Mission Saromayo involved in all Street Dog Control activities. We pray to God to get us more and more persons like Mr. Venkateswaralu to help street dogs to survive. We are in constant touch with him for implementing a comprehensive planning for Street Dog Rehabilitation.

Our further achievement is to meet Mr. Priyadarshi Dash, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry. He also encouraged our planning for the Street Dogs and promised all help in implementing the rehabilitation programme. He requested Mr. Sarma, GHMC Commissioner to consider our planning and to co-ordinate the activities.

We could make this progress only through the effort of Madam Suzi Abraham, who is constantly keeping liason with government & GHMC. We express our gratitude to her

Our monthly meeting was held at the Pollumi Pet Clinic of Dr. Rama Rao at Nallakunta. Besides discussing on our activities we requested Mrs. Rama Devi Menon to organize the School Education Programme for adopting puppies

The Fifteen puppies we rescued from pounds and streets have been vaccinated and cured of their diseases. They are housed in our premises and are growing well. The Adoption effort for them could not succeed well. We got kind help from four members to give them vaccination, treatment and food. We are grateful to them. We are now planning to construct a Puppy & Dog Home at the donated land at Miyapur to shift them and are desperately appealing for donation to construct a shelter. All are requested to help these and other puppies & dogs to be rescued
